Our Mission

Shiori was created with a single, clear purpose: to ensure that no Kuwaiti student has to navigate the journey between Kuwait and Japan alone.

We recognize that the path to studying and building a career related to Japan is filled with complex challenges, from mastering the MEXT scholarship application to navigating the cultural nuances of life in a new country. Shiori exists to provide the guidance, the community, and the strategic roadmap necessary to turn these challenges into opportunities for lifelong success.

What We Do

We serve our community through two dedicated pillars of support:

1. Empowering Prospective Students and Career Aspirants

For those dreaming of Japan, we provide the help and guidance to make those dreams a reality. We offer needed assistance on navigating the MEXT Scholarship, explore alternative academic pathways for those outside the scholarship track, and provide the helpful advice needed to build a competitive professional profile in order to discover relevant opportunities in Japan.

2. Supporting Current Students

For those already on the ground in Japan, we provide the community and logistics needed to thrive. From pre-departure mobilization and "buddy systems" to monthly town halls and direct connections to the Kuwaiti and Japanese Embassies, we ensure students in Japan are never isolated.
